about
This song is based on words from Abdu'l Bahá, who points out, that the attainment of peace implements a fight against war - yet not with weapons, but with a pure heart that is permanently longing and working for peace. It is a fight, lead on the deepest landscape of our human identity - our mind, the world of thoughts, that influences everything we feel, see, how we behave towards others, what we do and not do. Indeed Abdu'l Bahá says in another quote, that "reality of man is his thought".
In these days, where war has returned with it's cold, brutal and painful visage, taking the life of so many people, bringing violence, calamity and despair over so many lives, and destroying, what the hands of men have build up for the sake of prosperity, well-being and education of their fellow beings, these words of a man, who's whole life bears witness of the many sufferings he had to face, reminds us, that in the darkest hour of humanity every light that is enkindled for the sake of peace, love and understanding, shines with brightness and brings hope to a world, that despite it's suffering is still longing so desperately for only one thing: peace.

lyrics
When a thought of war comes,
oppose it by a stronger thought of peace.
A thought of hatred must be destroyed
by a more powerful thought of love.
If you desire with all your heart,
friendship with every race on earth,
your thought, spiritual and 30 positive,
will spread;
it will become the desire of others,
growing stronger and stronger,
until it reaches the minds of all men.
Abdu’l-Baha, Paris Talks, pp. 29-30.
